此外，位于纽约的《纽约时报》总部22日也收到了“白粉信”。当时一名在13楼的员工打开信后发现白色可疑物质，随后报警。《纽约时报》总部大楼因此暂时部分封锁。警方尚不能确定这一波恐吓信是不是发自同一来源。据悉，位于得克萨斯州达拉斯的联邦储蓄保险公司也收到了粉末信件。
